Roofing of the production facility at the Danceni district
This facility represents a common, modern format of a manufacturing and warehouse building.
The load-bearing portion of the roof is a lightweight long-span structure made of steel trusses covered with load-bearing profiled sheets. The slope of the roof is formed by the shape of the load-bearing structures. Two layers of insulation are used: the lower layer is made of mineral wool, and the upper layer is made of extruded polystyrene (XPS). The load-bearing profiled sheet serves as the base for mechanically fastening the roofing membrane. Water drainage from the roof is implemented through internal downpipes.
For waterproofing, a German PVC roofing membrane, Rhenofol CV, with a thickness of 1.8 mm, has been used. In areas subject to increased wind forces on the roof, our specialists have provided for reinforced fastening of the membrane (wind zones) in accordance with the requirements for PVC roofing installations. A distinctive feature of this project is the building's location in an open area, which necessitates consideration of increased wind loads.
The use of modern roofs with PVC membranes in Moldova is a reliable, durable, and energy-efficient solution for buildings of any type. Such roofs ensure quick installation of large areas, high-quality automated joining of sheets, and the ability to install at low air temperatures.
